OMG! These paintings are wonderful! You have such a special gift your toons and your paintings make us FEEL! They really reach out and touch our souls! 🫂❤️❤️
The moon in the birch trees! Birch trees have always seemed otherworldly. And the moon, well the moon with the birch is perfection. Of course I love the pandas! Always ready to see more pandas. The best of luck to you for the Seattle show!
Some days are darker than others, now and then some hope does shine through!! Hang in! We will never give up, we will never give in.
Thanks for your kind words. I’m excited to see these up on the wall of the gallery.
I just read an article about the dichotomy we’re all living with. On the one hand, “look! beauty!” and on the other, “oh look! here comes fascism”. The cognitive dissonance is real, and we’re not crazy to think this is…well…crazy. We just have to keep reminding ourselves and each other: we will never give up. We will never give in.
Anne!!! These are wonderful -- I'm going to need to see more of the pandas, tho. But good on you for stepping out of the familiar. That orange leaf-like structure looks like it has a beating heart!!! I'll definitely catch your show this summer. xo
Some of these images (not the daughters) are a bit darker than your usual work. Reflection of the times we're enduring, doing our best to survive?? Please be careful and not let it all get to you too much. Maybe increase your fwosting intake a bit?
Definitely a selection of our times, I think. But I’ve also always been attracted to the various nocturnes painted by many of my favorite artists. There is a young artist on the north end of Whidbey who paints absolutely glorious nocturne landscapes.
Ooooo! I have a weakness for images of birch trees as well as the moon. And pandas, but you already know that. The daughters will be sorry to be missing your show, but their "custodian" is very happy to have them on her east coast wall. Best of luck with the show!
I'm kvelling over your paintings of pandas. I don't think you're great .... I think you're divine.
So says I.
Aw shucks! I will channel my Inner Pinky and accept your assessment of my divinity!

Take heart - today the Supreme Court gave the tRUMP team a tongue lashing. About time!
It is about time. We will take the win.
Anne, your paintings are wonderful. Good luck on your show. Just relax and breathe in all the good vibes coming your way.
I have to agree with Margaret Gruen - Those pandas ARE divine, but you've had so much practice with pandas, haven't you? Hugs for your show.
Thank you!
Bravo!!!!! I love it all!!! Especially the pandas!! Resr well and keep going!!! Hugs and solidarity!!!! 💙💙💙💙

Love ALL the directions, Anne. But that last one… It keeps calling to me. Just trying to figure out what it wants me to hear. 🥰

The “Daughters” are in a very good place. I am so glad they are safely ensconced. I’ve always loved paintings of birches too.
I am definitely making sure I keep my frosting intake up.
