Ha ha! Most artists who have been in it for the long haul have discovered the joy of the slow lane.

I can’t even with anyone who thinks we can survive another reign of terror with TFG.

Yes! I relish the slow lane and I see a tangible creative benefit from staring out windows letting my mind wander.

I too cannot abide the MAGA idiots who think constantly telling lies is the way to live.

Being able to trust someone's words is what makes relationships and society functional. Even something as basic as “meet you here 4pm on Thursday” rests on a foundation of mutual trust. Sure you can grant some leeway and your friends arrival at 4:10 or so is within “I can still trust you to keep your word" bounds. Especially when you know traffic is busy.

But a person who agrees to meet and then doesn't call and never shows up… and when asked gives you a preposterous victimhood sob story… that person quickly gets onto the “untrustworthy” list.

The MAGAs and all Republicans have earned their place on my “extremely untrustworthy person" list. It will probably take them 500 years or so of serious honest reparations to convince me to even consider letting one within my circle for a moment.

Only 500 years? LOL! I'm thinking it's gonna take at least 1000 years and there better be cake involved!

Lol!!! Okay, I'm with you 1000 years it is then!!! And I'm in favor of cake too especially if it's angel food cake with strawberries and lots of whipped cream! Or carrot cake. That'll do!! Oh, or maybe chocolate double fudge. Or oh I know chocolate mint!!! Yes that's the ticket…

So glad you are here in the slow lane with me. Let’s gather up a few pandas, a couple dozen or so cuppycakes and rest for a while.

I knew I recognized a fellow soulmate! What a lucky day for me when I read you wanted to go to China and see the most beautiful , cutest of all animals—the panda bear! I signed up and loved your trip. I treasure my watercolor of the sleeping panda. And then, and then, you started to make little felted pandas during the awful Trump years(a season in hell!)and created a whole slew of little characters! Bebe Maurice (aka Yeng Meng—whose Godmother is Madame Macron of France!) was my favorite, and besides he sang to me!

I love your writings, the artist in you(you are brilliant), your view of the world, your sense of fun which is so delightful, and I am so glad you are a part of my life! Slow lane, my eyeball! I have never known such a person like you!

And Bebe Maurice is singing and dancing to “Thank heaven for leetle bears!” And moi aussi!

Aw! You are my favorite panda friend. You are the best cheerleader a person could ask for. And felts are the epitome of incremental work. Before you know it there are hundreds all over my house. Hang in there. 37 days till we celebrate Harris's win!

Thank you. I used to be on the whirlwind trip too but now I take my time to get things done. I appreciate all that Joe Biden has done for our country over the last few years, and, I too would have supported him on November 5. I wish President Joe and Dr. Jill Biden a joyful and restful retirement. I am hopeful that Kamala Harris and Tim Walz will take the oath of office in January 2025! And thank you for all the panda toons and felties!
