Naps help in many situations. Am just back from checking out yet another retirement community as a possibility for the day that’s inevitable. This one was depressing. On the way home I stopped at yet another, expecting to hate it...but it was amazing...unfortunately, with a price tag to match. If I’d known about this place when I was 22 I might have been a bit more thrifty and saved more for this purpose. Well, it wasn’t even built yet, and unfortunately there are no do-overs, right? (Sigh) Time for a nap.
Every once in a while I think: why didn't I become a doctor or a venture capitalist or something that would make me fabulously wealthy. Then I remember, I get queasy at the sight of blood and bone, hate wearing grown-up clothes, and wouldn't be as good a painter as I am if I had a time consuming grown up job and waited until retirement to start painting.
On the bright side, I have lots of fun panda stickers for my cardboard box. Good luck on your retirement community search.
Absolutely love this! I thought I was the only one with that fear! Comforting (sort of) to know im not the only one. I turn 55 this year no partner no kids - so sometimes im paralyzed with fear something horrible will happen to me & noone there to care.😲😳
