Marge, a Limerick (before she became a “player”)
There once was a woman named Marge,
Whose ego was big as a barge.
Her Congressional role
Is a big empty hole
If she knits, she’ll be Madame LaFarge
Ted, a pome on student debt forgiveness
If I could only be so sure
As Ted, who frankly, is a bore.
He’s sure he would
be much more prudent
Than a barista, once a student.
“He wasted money, wasted time!
I shan’t return a single dime!
A good education
For me, not the nation,
Because teaching the masses’ a crime.”
A little bouquet of haiku, on the occasion of the indictment of The Former Guy
I woke up early
something happening I think
anticipation
A life without rules
is no preparation…
consequences come
Plays strong on the street
but judgement is coming soon
you aren’t who you think
Loud mouth blonde blusters
her hulking escorts no match:
taken down by hecklers
Who should you trust now?
Those who tear down and destroy
are allies to none
I breathe in fresh air
Wisconsin justice triumphs
hope rises in spring
Off the top of my head…
I still have not found my rhythm on posting here, but I am trying. I continue to be filled with gratitude for those who take their scarce time to read all the flotsam that pops out of my head and onto the keyboard.
These are wild and uncertain times we find ourselves in, not only in the U.S. but around the world. While the indictment of a former “president” is really not anything to celebrate, I hope you’ll excuse the enthusiasm of a few well meaning pandas.
Where’s my party hat?
I even slept through a Jack hammer that began at 8:30 am. this morning. I think we are rebuilding the building inside out.
Two doctor appointments on Monday: my neurologist and my dentist. One is televised; the other is in office, but near by.
Still so very upset by happenings in Tennessee.
In these days of so much drama, I welcome any reason to check on pandas. New babies at the SMITHSONIAN --sun bears had cubbies--so cute! I know nothing about them! But liddle cuties!
Little Miracle seems to be adapting to his weaning--he is chomping on bamboo, eating frozen fruities, bamboo, and all treats for himself. He may be ginormous when he goes to China. That baby has never missed a meal! And always so funny!
Keep up the good work. Love my painting! What a treasure for me to have your artwork! Your talents bring me laughter and great joy!
People in Tennessee May get some sense in all that is going on. I surely hope so.

I am so glad you are writing on Substack! Your talent should not be hidden away. I love your poems! And your art! I have to get out my Easter Pandas! So cute and precious!
For shame, Tennessee, for shame. To take a shining moment when students protested quietly the killings
of six people by a sick person, and to turn it into a lesson on critical race theory in action is awful. I am so ashamed of my birth state.
Got my iron infusion, but I had insomnia as a result. I am so tired, I am cross-eyed. I have lost my phone. So good you are writing and bringing your art to Substack! Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzxxxx ❤️🐼
