I always like to do one last painting before I deliver a show, and this is the painting I did. The doggies have been driven to market, so to speak, and now I get to wait and see if I get paid for the last 10 months of work. I’ll write a post at some point about the economic realities of being a working fine artist, but maybe not today.
Today I am going to bask in the accomplishment of finishing a body of work, getting it to the gallery, and figure out what I’m going to wear to the opening on Saturday.
Today I am going to contemplate the feelings of hope that are infusing the world of politics, with the announcement and tsunami of support that has manifested for Kamala Harris. I am going to let them spill over into hope for a successful show.
There will be more talk of art, pandas, politics, and my garden in the coming weeks.
Go ahead and feel the hope.
Catch ya on the flip side.
Oh wow! Trigger warning - im in the office today and just started crying. Your post gave me all the feels! I have HOPE as well- for our country AND for you! CONGRATULATIONS on finishing your paintings! They are all beautiful! Captivating & wistful! Saying prayers they all sell! 🙌❤️❤️❤️
Hope all is going well! Thinking of you and sending good vibes for you and the show! Huzzah!
