A Little Inspiration Just Bonked Me on the Head

A White House Conspiracy Theory...

Okay, okay…just hear me out…

What if things aren’t EXACTLY what they appear to be? What if there was a malevolent force behind the occurrences and the final resolution?

I am, of course, referring to the expulsion of Commander Biden for the crime of nipping a few Secret Service personnel. What if someone told him that it would be a really good idea?????

Consider this possibility:

The Scene:

A pleasant, sun lit room in the White House. A small, gray striped cat sleeps peacefully on a couch.

Suddenly, a large, loud, unruly dog rushes into the room with a slobber drenched ball in his mouth. He runs over to the cat and drops the ball onto her soft, clean, silken fur.

“WILLOW!!!! WAKE UP! LET’S PLAY! YOU CAN THROW THE BALL FOR ME AND I’LL BRING IT BACK TO YOU! IT WILL BE SO MUCH FUN!!!!”

“Seriously, dude,” Willow growls, “you have really got to dial it down. And get this disgusting ball off my couch. If Dr. Mom sees this, you are going to have to sleep in the garage.”

Commander takes his ball and crouches down on the floor, with his nose resting on the couch cushion. “You…you wouldn’t tell, would you?”

“Hmmm…what’s it worth to you?” Willow positions her soft gray paws, with claws lightly extended, on either side of Commander’s nose.

“I’d give you my squeaky panda! It’s my favorite toy, but you can have it! Forever!!!”

Willow licks her paw and gives Commander a calculating look. “I know…you can bite that guy that follows Dad around. He gave me a dirty look when Dad wasn’t looking just because he got some lovely gray fur on his black pants and jacket. As if that was my fault!”

“Oh I just couldn’t do that! I would get in so much trouble!” said Commander.

“You wouldn’t get in trouble, Big C. You’d be protecting me and that would make Dad and Dr. Mom really happy!” purred Willow.

“I’M SO GLAD YOU EXPLAINED IT TO ME! CATS ARE SO SMART! I’M GOING TO GO FIND THOSE GUYS RIGHT NOW AND BITE ALL OF THEM!”

“Thanks, Big C. Maybe close the door as you leave so I can get back to my nap.”

“HERE I GO!!!!”

“I think this is going to turn out just the way it should,” Willow thought to herself.

Commander bounds off. Willow curls up again with a little smile on her face. You know the rest of the story.

These are dark days, on a whole lot of fronts. I wish I knew how it was all going to turn out, but none of us do. I hope this story will give you a little smile, and lighten the day for you.
